Welcome to Pedro Country
Country Music is a journey of discoveries and experiences, for me the most wonderful and enjoyable journey anyone could ever imagine. Most people look back through their lives and usually remember a special moment that changed their lives forever. When I look back I have no doubt that 1974 was that year.
I was 15 years old - still going to school, not a musical bone in my body or a useable note in my throat. That's what I believed until I met 'Mary' my childhood sweetheart at school. Looking back I didn't just fall in love with her - but also with her family. They took to me and soon I was spending my weekends at their house. Those times became very special to me. Every Friday and Saturday night Mary's father ('Uncle Reg' to me) would open a few cans of lager and get out an old 'Futurama Guitar' - plug it into a Marshall practice combo and off we'd go, 'Auntie Gloria', Mary, her three sisters, two brothers, and me, singing along to all the three-chord classic country songs we knew.
I was in entertainment heaven, I loved the music, I tried my hardest to sing along with everyone else. But what really captured my imagination was watching Uncle Reg playing all those songs on the guitar. I decided to learn the Bass Guitar so I could play along with him, and that's exactly what I did! So - in the words of that old cliché 'The Rest is History', over the years I joined various bands, worked on my vocals, learned acoustic guitar and finally ended up performing as a solo artist. It is truly amazing where life takes you.
